Executive Management

    Our Executive Management team represents a diverse leadership team from across the globe. Each team member has been carefully selected and represents a guiding pillar for the Company.

    Brady D. Ericson​ 

    President and Chief Executive Officer​ 

    As CEO for PHINIA, Mr. Ericson successfully led the spin-off of the company from BorgWarner in 2023. His conviction that internal combustion engine (ICE) technologies will be key to carbon neutrality in the future is the driving force behind the establishment of PHINIA. Mr. Ericson has extensive senior leadership, strategic planning, operational and business experience, as well as in-depth knowledge of the global automotive industry. 

    Mr. Ericson previously served as President and General Manager of the BorgWarner Fuel Systems and Aftermarket Business that principally became PHINIA, following the spin-off. He was an officer of BorgWarner from 2011 to 2023, serving as President and General Manager of three business units and as BorgWarner’s Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to these positions, he served in operations, manufacturing strategy, engineering, and sales with assignments in North America, Europe and Asia. 

    Earlier in his career, Mr. Ericson held various sales and engineering positions with Honeywell (formerly AlliedSignal), Remy International and Ford Motor Company. 

    He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.

     

    Chris Gropp​

    ​VP and ​Chief Financial Officer

    As CFO, Ms. Gropp successfully established PHINIA as a publicly traded company (NYSE: PHIN) in 2023, the result of the spin-off from BorgWarner. She joined BorgWarner in 2001, serving most recently as Vice President of Finance for Fuel Systems and Aftermarket. Ms. Gropp brings corporate finance and accounting expertise at a global scale to the new organization.

    During her 22 years at BorgWarner, Ms. Gropp has served as Vice President of Finance for three of BorgWarner’s businesses, and previously held positions as Plant Controller and Commercial Controller to Finance Director. Prior to joining BorgWarner, she was an auditor for KPMG and Director, Finance/Controller for Pressac Inc. 

    Ms. Gropp holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a certified public accountant licensed in Alabama and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.

    Pedro Abreu

    VP and Chief Strategy Officer

    As PHINIA’s VP and CSO, Pedro Abreu leads the definition and implementation of the company’s strategy, driving growth and leading the execution of key business initiatives to guide PHINIA towards sustained success.

    Pedro previously served as VP and General Manager for Asia Pacific in PHINIA, and prior to the spin-off, in BorgWarner. Pedro joined BorgWarner in 2010 as Plant Controller for Portugal, eventually serving as Plant Manager in Viana, Portugal, Vigo, Spain and Tulle, France. Throughout his career, he has held various finance and operations positions of increasing responsibility.

    Mr. Abreu graduated in economics from Universidade Fernando Pessoa and holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Porto Business School.

     

    Todd Anderson​

    VP and Chief Technology Officer

    Mr. Anderson leads the product engineering function within PHINIA, believing the business is well positioned as a product leader in the transportation industry. As Chief Technology Officer, he also has an external facing role in the company—representing PHINIA technologies to the marketplace and investors. Mr. Anderson joined PHINIA in 2023 from BorgWarner, where he was responsible for the Fuel Systems Europe Region as Vice President/General Manager. He joined BorgWarner as a result of its 2020 acquisition of Delphi. At Delphi, Mr. Anderson was Vice President responsible for the FIS global diesel product line. 

    He is fascinated with how things work and enjoys working with others to solve problems. Anderson views innovation as commercialized creativity and looks forward to sharing PHINIA’s future innovations with the market. 

    He has commercial vehicle and automotive Tier One experience in operations, engineering and management. Mr. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, an Executive Education Certification from Harvard School of Business and has completed Executive MBA courses from Queen’s College. 

    Robert Boyle

    VP, ​General Counsel and Secretary

    As VP and General Counsel, Mr. Boyle led the legal aspects of the spin-off in 2023 from BorgWarner. He joined BorgWarner in 2020 as part of the Delphi Technologies acquisition—where he served as Vice President, Corporate & Securities. While with BorgWarner, Mr. Boyle was Vice President and General Counsel (Europe), managing a diverse team of European lawyers responsible for a broad range of cross-border commercial, operational and strategic matters, as well as employment, labor, data privacy and international trade compliance. 

    Prior to joining Delphi, he specialized in Commercial, Strategic and Financial transactions at Beam Suntory Inc. and focused on Securities and Corporate law at General Motors. He has experience living and working across a range of geographies, including the UK, Germany and various USA locations.

    Mr. Boyle holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Georgetown University, a minor in Computer Science, and a Juris Doctorate from DePaul University’s College of Law.

     

    Mike Coetzee​

    VP and ​General Manager, ​Americas

     

    As VP and General Manager, Americas, Mr. Coetzee leads operations for PHINIA in the region. Prior to this, he served in a similar role for the Morse Systems business of BorgWarner. He began his career with BorgWarner in 2012, serving in leadership roles for the Americas in three different business units. Since 2020, Mr. Coetzee has been instrumental in various merger and acquisition projects. He brings considerable leadership experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, production supervision and plant management.

    Mr. Coetzee holds qualifications in Mechanical Engineering from Technikon Witwatersrand and Project Management from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Liverpool. 

     

    Alisa Di Beasi​

    VP and ​Chief Human Resource Officer

    Ms. Di Beasi was appointed VP and Chief Human Resources Officer for PHINIA in 2023. Prior to this appointment, she served as Vice President, Global Human Resources for two BorgWarner businesses (most recently Fuels Systems and Aftermarket), joining the manufacturer in 2020. While at BorgWarner she led the Delphi Technologies integration, a significant portion of which became PHINIA.  

    As a 25-year HRBP veteran, Ms. Di Beasi brings to PHINIA experiences from a wide range of industries, including steel, robotics, industrial automation, smart technologies and electronic manufacturing. She has leadership experience at large global corporations and emerging companies, with a track record of successfully leading talent acquisitions—concept through post-close integration. Her passion is developing transformational strategies to engage talent and enhance value. 

    Prior to joining BorgWarner, Ms. Di Beasi worked for ABB AG and Robert Bosch GmbH and has worked in North America, Europe and India. While at ABB, she served as Global Vice President, Human Resources for its Low Voltage, Smart Buildings and Smart Charging business unit where she was responsible for shaping the business unit’s organizational culture and digital transformation.

    Ms. Di Beasi is a two-time graduate of National Louis University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Science and Management, as well as Business Administration, and a master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior.

    Sebastian Dori​

    VP and ​Chief Purchasing Officer

    Mr. Dori serves as VP and Chief Purchasing Officer for PHINIA, after holding a similar role at BorgWarner’s Fuel Systems since 2021. He joined BorgWarner in 2015 where he held supply chain positions for three different business units. Prior to his post at BorgWarner, Mr. Dori held Operations and Global Supply Management positions within Georg Fischer, Honeywell and WABCO (ZF). He has worked in African and European locations.

    Mr. Dori is looking forward to building a holistic and sustainable supplier partnership model for PHINIA. He received a Dipl. Ing (FH) degree in Material Sciences from University of Giessen-Friedberg, Germany.

     

    Chris Gustanski

    VP Operational Excellence

    As VP Operational Excellence for PHINIA, Mr. Gustanski is responsible for Global Strength Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Lean and Operational Excellence at the Company. He has held this post since 2023 after the spin-off from BorgWarner. Mr. Gustanski joined BorgWarner in 2020 as part of the Delphi Technologies acquisition. Prior to joining BorgWarner, he held a dual role at Delphi Technologies as Vice President Manufacturing Engineering - Powertrain Products and Corporate Manufacturing Engineering, Lean, & Footprint Planning. 

    During his automotive career, Mr. Gustanski has performed a range of mostly manufacturing roles for various product lines. He has global experience with manufacturing sites and technical centers across PHINIA.  

    Mr. Gustanski holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University. His career at Delphi began as a co-op student with Kettering. 

     

    Neil Fryer

    VP and ​General Manager, ​Global Aftermarket

    As VP and General Manager, Global Aftermarket for PHINIA, Mr. Fryer leads the Aftermarket business. He joined BorgWarner in 2020 as part of the Delphi Technologies acquisition where he served as VP Global Product, Marketing & Strategic Planning for the Aftermarket Business Unit. In this position he transformed the Aftermarket business to a significant portion of what is now the PHINIA portfolio. Mr. Fryer has extensive experience in the global aftermarket industry with previous posts at ZF Group, TRW, Fiat Group Automobiles, Rhiag-Inter Auto Parts (Non-Executive Director), Bosal and Lucas Aftermarket Operations. 

    Mr. Fryer holds a BA degree in English from University of London and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Warwick, England.

    John Lipinski

    VP and ​General Manager, ​Europe​

    Mr. Lipinski is responsible for European operations for PHINIA, a position he has held since 2023 when the Company completed the spin-off from BorgWarner. Mr. Lipinski joined BorgWarner in 2020 as a result of the acquisition of Delphi Technologies, where he served as Senior Director Global Manufacturing Engineering and Operations. Prior to his appointment to PHINIA, Mr. Lipinski was Vice President, Global Manufacturing Engineering and Operations for BorgWarner’s PowerDrive Systems.

    He started his career in 1994 with Delco Electronics and Safety as Operations Supervisor, expanding into roles with increasingly more responsibility in operations, supply chain and engineering. Mr. Lipinski has worked in Europe and North America. He holds a BS degree in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University.

    Hank Yang

    VP and ​General Manager, Fuel Systems ​Asia Pacific​

    PHINIA’s Asia Pacific operations are the responsibility of Hank Yang, VP and General Manager for Fuel Systems Asia Pacific. Mr. Yang previously served as PHINIA’s Country Director in China and General Manager for Fuel Systems China. Prior to the spin-off, he held various positions in BorgWarner China, including General Manager of PowerDrive Systems, General Manager of Morse Systems, Director, Sales & Program Management of Turbo Systems, Operation Director of Turbo Systems. Mr.Yang joined BorgWarner in 2004 and has rich operational and management experience.

    Mr. Yang graduated in Mechatronic Engineering from Hefei University of Technology and holds an executive Master of Business Administration degree in Science and Technology of East China University.

     

    Matt Logar

    VP and ​Chief Information Officer​

    Mr. Logar serves as VP and CIO, leading the Information Technologies (IT) function at PHINIA. He is responsible for the Company’s IT and Computer systems including accessing current status and implementing new systems and processes to support and streamline business operations. He joined BorgWarner in May 2023, in anticipation of the spin-off to PHINIA. Prior to that, he was VP CIO at Gentherm, leading the global IT strategy. Mr. Logar also has 21 years of experience at General Electric (GE), holding multiple leadership roles to support IT needs within global finance, supply chain, infrastructure and ERP. 

    In his CIO role, Mr. Logar looks forward to the unique opportunity to reimagine and implement robust IT capabilities for the future. 

    He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Computer Information Systems from Indiana University, and an MBA with concentrations in Accounting, Finance and Strategic Management from the University of Chicago-Booth School of Business.
